A handy product, and good for heating/re-heating things up quickly, but anyone that says air-fried chips are as good as deep-fried are absolute liars.

    • +1

My heart says they're just as good.

    • Not as good, true, but still pretty good.

      • can you make your own chips from spuds or do you have to buy the pre processed and frozen ones?

        • The one I've had you can put your own potato in.

    • Deep fried left overs reheated in the airfryer as good if not better than the 1st time

  • +1

I would never purchase from a retailer that has no phone number or address on their website.

    • Appreciate this comment thanks, I'm sure many people feel the same. I have spoken to the store already about this and the reason is simply a design issue that is being rectified. The Address Is:

      • That narrows it down to a 600m long road in an industrial estate… you'll need to do better than a vague description.

    • i had a look and i cant see an ABN listed either?

  • Mmmmm….fried air.

  • I think you will find the majority of reviews for the 3.2l Air Fryer are excellent:

    http://www.productreview.com.au/p/kitchen-chef-2-2l-air-frye…

    http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&u…

MDS response to the two negative reviews you have highlighted:
    A) Review regarding size
Yes there are limits - you cannot fit a turkey in there but a small bird you could, the customer had likely purchased the 2.2L Air Fryer and submitted it on the 3.2L. Small joints of meat for 4-6 people are ideal.

    B) Review regarding bench top issue
My Discount Store do not recommend placing the container that has just come out of the Air Fryer straight onto a bench top if it is not made to withstand high-heats. Whilst the internal metal drawer cools rapidly once out, you are heating the contents inside to extremely high temperatures of over 200 degrees celsius. The Air Fryer itself is designed to sit directly on the bench top whilst in use.

    • how about the power cut off issue? there is a connection problem.

ITEM ONLY WORKED TWICE NO HELP FROM THIS SELLER, STAY AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???

If you care enough as a seller on ebay you should put follow up/reply on negative feedback , it is because you dont care?

Also they have the timer not working issue, so many issue that you may face with this unit, should we all stay away?

      • Hello Love Bargain,

I agree it is good practice to reply to all reviews on "www.Productreview.com." to let prospective customers know that issues have been resolved. I will pass this comment onto the store.

For the benefit of other users that haven't seen the reviews you are referring I'm sure they are for the 2.2L Air Fryer and I will clarify what the store have told me.

"There was a connection issue that effected roughly 5% of the units sold. The customers were either offered a replacement or refund. This issue was rectified and the products have continued to received fantastic reviews and sales."

If you have any concerns or wish to see a much larger review panel please refer to their ebay store where you will find they have received 7583 positive reviews in the last 12 months, many of these refer to their Air Fryers.

        http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&u…

They offer a 12 month warranty on all appliances.

        • 5% is a big number for fault connection issue only. There are 5 in 100 people need to suffer from the issue items. I suspect this item is come from China right?

    • Hi,

Can't order it as your website just not allow me to choose the colour and submit the order neither….

  • You say that you will speak to the store which implies that you do not work there. Unsure if I can ask this but how are you associated with them? :)

  • +1

I used this for around 6 months and it was amazing for its price. Not really easy to clean but still good value for air fryer under $100. Never had an issue with the air fryer and the shipping was quick from their ebay group deal last year :). Warning: Air fryer may encourage you to eat bad food, because it will let you think its healthy food as there is no oil(I believe most Chips was already cooked in oil then frozen which you cook again)!

    • Ive had mine for a year now with no problems.(Groupon buy) Its good for fish snags and chiko rolls.

    • Yws all the xhip contains lota of oil. Execpt you use the raw potato which this is the air flyer promoting. You can save $100 and use a oven to reheat the chip from freezer instead.

  • Bought the 2.2 at $69
The 3.2 would have been better with a slightly bigger size.

Comments above about tray getting hot, eating wrong foods just less oil, etc are all true ……

At $69, I'm content with my air fryer…..At 79 for the 3.2, I think is a better option.

  • given my mum doesn't like using large quantities of oil for small cooking (as we don't by diet/our home food menu consume alot of fried stuff) - can anyone give some background as to how an air fryer works?

Does it actually consume or require no oil to fry chips , fish, and other items? And the description above says this can fry, bake, grill, roast etc - how does this fit into a deep fryer?

just abit confused how an air fryer works compared to conventional steel mesh basket in oil… any explanations for a dude in need?

    • I never add oil to mine, ever. It's simply not needed. All frozen food (chips, nuggets, fish etc.) already is oiled.

It's basically a small fan forced oven that heats up quick and cooks things evenly and crispy. Thus making it feel 'like' fried food. But you can put anything in there that you could put into an oven.

  • It is now being offered at Groupon for $99, don't know about postage.
