Decent MP3 Players

G"day All
Please I am heading to Africa and want to buy around 3 dozens of MP3 players.
I want to copy some audio books on them and then donate them to a blind association.
Size between 4 or 8 GB.
Thank You very much for your reply and advice.
Cheers

Difficult. MP3 player was almost completely killed by mobile phone. Most manufacturers stopped making them good few years ago. There are some very expensive, high quality units (often advertised as digital recorders, without specifically stressing the "MP3" part). SanDisk is probably one of the very few manufacturers left, but their MP3 players are not cheap. And of course there are many non branded Chinese made models, eBay is flooded with them, you can get one easily for around $3-$5. Not sure how reliable they are (probably not very), but you could approach eBay seller and ask for discount as you want to buy many, and simply buy a few more to allow for failures.

Target lists many SanDisk units, I believe they are high quality players, but the cheapest model is $33.
http://www.target.com/c/ipods-mp3-players-home-audio-electro… Maybe approaching someone (SanDisk? Philips? Target?) directly, explaining why you want to buy them, and asking for discounted (sponsored?) price would be worth trying? Good luck!

  • Thank you very much for your advice and the wealthy information.
Sure 'll do contact a few eBay sellers.
    Tnx lots again
    Cheers

  • aliexpress has inexpensive mp3 players.

do you want them with a large screen (I note blind association) or just with buttons.

running on AA or AAA batteries or internal battery?

i recently picked up an ipod 32gb clone from aliexpress for US$11.49 delivered. you could get them posted straight to africa.

came with charging usb cable and headphones. the interface is basicbut fine and my daughter loves it. battery life is very good. 32gb , smaller ones for less are available

    • Good day there
      Thanks heaps for your reply.
I think it "ll be better just get some with smallest display.
      Also with internal batteries!.
Sadly there is no welfare in Africa and people can afford to buy batteries.
I am planning to get an inverter as well and "ll donate an old laptop full of audio books.
      Thanks heaps for the advice.
      Cheers
      :-)
