Yeah, I worry they might go out of business and feel almost guilty almost never paying for rentals.
they earn money because some people are lazy to return or lose the dvd
I like this idea and prefer if over buying the blue rays when you normally watch a movie once. If it is too good, you can always buy the disc.
Only downside is that good ones are many times not available and always rented.

they are lack of customers and still paying expenses, if they give free rental to customers, they hope to get some new/loyal customers and maybe they hope some of those customers would forget to return discs back on time. All rentals are now $1 at my local. There are never many dvd's hired when I visit, I'm hoping the kiosk sticks around for a while longer.
There is an extra 3rd kiosk getting put in near me, I am thinking that it must be doing all right if that's the case
