Great price, but unfortunately doesn't seem to allow for a stop over in Vancouver in either direction. When adding in a stop-over price increases a lot.
Zuji has MUCH more information about the sale, and prices for other cities of departure.

Soo tempted.
wish this was just for vancouver…
me too
Yeah it's such a tease to make you go all that way.
Imagine it was "Fly to Bali return for $250 via Vancouver!"
Have you seen any cheap flights from Aus to Vancouver for either winter or summer?
Errm
Nothing really stopping you from going with carry-on luggage only, and getting off in Vancouver. That's what I would do! :)
I've always wanted to do this, but I'm scared the airline will "blacklist" you for wasting their time with announcements and stuff lol
I would except the return flight would then probably be voided :(
There will be something stopping you when you try to check in for you LAX-YVR-BNE flight and find your booking has been cancelled.
Doesn't seem like Air Canada do a lot of sales… certainly not Aus to Ca. yes/no?
Great Airline in my experience, but deals seemingly unheard of…Shame. :o/
AC pricing is normally competitive when compared to other full service airlines.
Good to hear - thanks for adding.
I flew Air Canada from Brisbane to Vancouver and it was pretty terrible. I remember asking the hostess "which would you recommend, the beef or chicken?". She replied "neither honey, we bring our own!". In saying that, for that much, I'd do it again.
Maybe she secretly wanted you to follow her to the galley to show you her meal?
let's be real, what kind of question is that? She just wanted to distribute the meals and piss off. That said, if it were me I'd just give you a random answer.
When??
They haven't started flying BNE-YVR yet! See: http://www.aircanada.com/au/en/offers/air/brisbane/brisbane.…
The service doesn't start until 3 June so it doesn't seem possible to have flown on Air Canada "from Brisbane to Vancouver"
In July 2009
Price is back up to $744 for those dates with Air Canada.
Awesome! Will book now…………….SAID NO ONE EVER.
This is via Vancouver though making it a bloody long flight from go to whoa, Qantas has direct for about another $60
Excellent price. Also saw flights in Nov for about $700
