Not knowledgable about HDD. Brand, type, etc…
Right now, I just filled up my 1tb WD Blue HDD.
My friend got it for me.
I'm looking for anything bigger.
Just going to fill it with movies, games, and programs.
Anything here worth it? Might go for anything bigger or equal to 3TB.
I've had enough HDDs die on my under warranty that it's not worth buying from overseas. (Unless I've been missing out and there is a way to get it covered?)

WD RED is made for NAS's, and have a firmware designed to target NAS usage scenarios.

I have WD RED nas drive in my desktop right now and they're decent drives, but as they were built for reliability and quiet / low power use / low heat dissipation, they are designed to operate at 5400RPM only. In other words: not so great for installing your programs on.
If you're not already using an SSD in your laptop / desktop, it's probably a good time to buy one.
I do have an SSD used to run my Windows 10 OS.
Just need another HDD to store extra stuff.

Yes the red has special firmware designed to run in NAS units 24/7 with no power down

Did you want mirrored Hard Drives for redundancy or just a drive for storage?
How much did you want to spend?
Did you want internal to install or external USB?
Do a search on www.staticeice.com.au for the type you want.
Drive for storage sounds good. Not sure what redundancy means.

Internal HDD to supplement my filled HDD.
Redundancy, in simple english, means configuring two drives to mirror each other thus ensuring that you have multiple copies of the same data.
When two drives are configured as such it's called a RAID, or 'Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks'
