i have the 16GB version of this. its the fastest USB i own atm.

    • What's the actual read and write speed?

      • +3

I've got the 32GB model and these are the speeds I'm getting (it's about 90% full).

        • Nice speeds cheers.

      • +1

sorry. have no tests. but the speed is soooo noticable when u use it.
all USBs should be like this

    • +1

      Can vouch for this, too.

To put things into perspective, I have a:
      1) 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Fit Micro
      2) 16GB Sandisk Extreme

      Copying a 6GB project with >2000 files:
      1) 40 minutes
      2) 10 minutes

  • is this a genuine item? i am reading the seller negative feedbacks….kinda dodgy

    • +2

Did any of the feedback say it's fake?

  • +2

seller accepted my offer of $22

  • sounds alright. wish seller had a 64gb version.

  • MSY had the 64gb model on sale last year and it was amazingly fast. =)

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/207886 it was this one

    Just got one for $24.99

Still winning on the price. Thanks!

    • This no longer applies - please see below comments.

Just received mine, turned out to be the older version (or knockoff?) with the 55MB/s and not the 100MB/s write.
    Picture: http://puu.sh/oMvYv/dc0bac2d69.jpg

    • Damn it. That is half the speed. On the actual pic it shows that but in the description it shows the faster speed. Not happy. My apologies.

    • +1

The ebay seller must have changed the picture very recently http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SanDisk-Extreme-32GB-SDCZ80-USB-3…

The description still says "Super-fast transfer speeds Up to 245 MB/s Read 100 MB/s Write" which technically is still correct because of the "up to"

      • Makes sense I gues but on the photo posted above by PhaleWail it says up to 55Mb/s.

    • +1

Thats clearly (100% no doubt from me) a knockoff. The many typos from non-english speakers retyping the text give it away…

Just received mine. Absolutely 100% fake. No doubt about it. Very annoyed and will be getting a refund.

      • +1

Agreed. The only reason why I posted this deal due to the fact that the seller was a top rated seller. I am annoyed too. Will be getting a refund too 😞

      • @rdx and others

Let us know how you go with the refund process, this store has a number of previous deals on OzBargain, a good eBay rating and they removed the listing yesterday by the looks. I would hope this was an isolated incident and they received a bad batch or similar, however I would appreciate if you let us know what the seller says about it and the refund process.

I've also invited the Lifafa store rep to comment here.

I'm subscribed to this thread so will be alerted of any comments here.

        Thanks

          Hey there,

Sorry for not updating sooner. I resolved this last night after a lot of back and forth with the terrible sales rep who can't spell to save his life.
He kept telling me to send it back to him but he wouldn't pay for postage unless I met his exact criteria, and he wouldn't do the refund for anything until he'd received it, which quite frankly is ridiculous.
I basically pointed him to the ACCC page stating that I am entitled to a refund, but still he denied that and said I had to return it to his criteria.

Finally I got a message from ebay telling me that the seller had accepted the refund and that I didn't have to return the item.

I was tempted to just drop it into the bin (who knows what could be on a counterfeit product!) but I plugged it into my Linux box and gave it a clean wipe, hopefully it should be OK.

          Hope this helps!

just for this email from the seller..

          Hi there,

          Thanks for your purchase.

I have been told by few buyers about the item being Not real SanDisk

Actually i bought from a supplier and i get the material to list as well form him.
I didnt have any idea how to check and all those things as i am just an online seller , i buy and sell online.
But i can certainly give you guarantee of 30 days money back and safisfaction guarantee.

Now if you want to keep the product please advise and i can refund you my profit .

If you like to return the product thats your choice , i can send you full refund .

Whatever is your choice please advise i am happy either way .
I dont wanna piss any one off and make any one think i am ripping some one off for few dollras.

          Thanks very much

        • @h3h3: Same e-mail here.

Such a pissweak excuse. None of us should have to pay to send it back to this muppet when it's a counterfeit product. I've be burned a couple of times with fake crap - filed a PayPal claim with proof it's a fake and PayPal has determined every time that I got a full refund without having to return the item. (On one occasion, it was actually impossible to mail back the item as Australia post banned the international shipment of lithium batteries)

@rdx: can you please post a link to the ACCC page?

        • @rdx: thanks heaps :)

If anyone is frustrated like me at how these excellent USB's retract when you insert them due to the dodgy retraction mechanism, this may be of interest: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1550726

    It seems SanDisk can't spell.
    Packaging is littered with typos.

    @tdw @hamza23

Here's a look at the packaging if you're interested.

    Front: http://i.imgur.com/E7I8uWQ.jpg
    Back: http://i.imgur.com/VsybLib.jpg

Featuring hilarious typos such as: "Micrcsoft", "SanFisk", "SwcureAccess" & more!
I can only imagine how bad the other languages are.

Also, here's the speed test from it. http://i.imgur.com/8tLwp2T.jpg

thanks for uploading the pics. just the packaging alone is a red flag as the extreme usb's come in a box rather than a blister pack.
