The US has increased the allowance for imported goods from online resellers. They now allow upto $US800 to be imported without paying import or taxes.
Before this the maximum was $US200.
So why is this interesting?
The debate here is that Australia may reduce the current exemption here from $A1000, with arguments using the US as an example of having a lower exemption than here.
This might now be used as an argument for this reduction not to happen here.
