Just to clarify, this isn't the extra virgin oil version.
"Extra Virgin "Coconut Oil
A common title or term used is “extra virgin coconut oil”. So what is the difference between “virgin” and “extra-virgin” coconut oil?NOTHING. There are no commonly understood or accepted definitions for “extra” virgin coconut oil, as there are in the olive oil industry. It is simply a marketing term and nothing else
I've been taking Coconut Oil for years, lots of different brands, from locals in Fiji, & Solomon Islands, to supermarket, health food stores & iherb, & I never knew this.
This isn't even the virgin version? The labelling doesn't suggest it is, at least not from the online screenshot.
Err, that was the point of my comment. I was clarifying that to make sure others wouldn't mistake it for cold-pressed. Anyway, that's my understanding of the difference between any oils. If solids have been processed in a way that creates oxidation and heat then the oil is considered inferior to extra virgin oil.
So, you initially claimed there was no difference and now you're saying there is. Care to make up your mind? :-P
So the word " Organic " means very little when it come to coconut oil?
No, organic can mean a lot, if it actually is.
It's the term EXTRA virgin that has no meaning in coconut oil.
Vendor in title please.
