Doesnt have adress on survey to send to

    • Yes it does, at the very end of the survey.

    • +12

if you say you don't drink coffee, the survey ends and you don't get a free mug. So just make something up and you'll have to answer a few more pages of questions before they ask you for your address.

      • +1

        Cheeky you are

        • +1

          Starwars day was yesterday buddy..
          Yoda, done he is

    • +26

  • awesome. thank you OP

  • +1

    Nescafé uses SurveyMonkey??

    • +2

      Why not? Millions do.

      • +8

I have never done a survey for a multi billion dollar company (Nestle) on SurveyMonkey before which is why I ask.

        • -1

We just had one through NSW Health/HNEAHS via SpankyMonkey, I was a little surprised too…

        • @StewBalls: SpankyMonkey? Jesus that sounds dirty

        • (not being critical) but I don't understand the surprise. Nestle would be foolish to write their own survey tool, far superior free ones exist (even commercial ones if they insisted on burning shareholders money), so why not go free.

        • @chrism238: Fair enough, the surprise is that it seems quite unprofessional for a multi billion dollar multinational to be using them. There are other survey collectors out there which they could have used. I am sure nestle also has their own in house products and marketing department which could have whipped up a webpage for a survey (free). Additionally the SurveyMonkey survey they have used was definitely *not free. There are premium features in the survey. Source: I use SurveyMonkey extensively :)

          I* = more man hours

Edit: messed up formatting. On phone!

        • At an old place I worked at, we used it.. ~250,000 headcount, locations on every continent except Antarctica, and > $1bn IT budget.

        • @justcallmeboss: SurveyMonkey…I was being facetious. ;)

        • @justcallmeboss: I don't think it's unprofessional, there are lots of companies who use them, both internally and externally: https://www.surveymonkey.com/mp/customers/

Consider the security, privacy and risk of developing an in-house tool versus using an off the shelf product like SurveyMonkey.

TRhankies to u cos i like free thingies

  • Done.. ; would be nice if there was an link showing this is a genuine Nescafe promotion.

  • -6

Not everyone gets a mug, fill in the survey for a CHANCE to win a mug

    • +6

"Please enter your details below and we'll send you a NESCAFÉ red mug. Your mug should arrive within 2-4 weeks."

  • Eeeyuhhkk! Instant!!

    • +5

Be thankful its not a taste test. The section that asks about phrases to do with their brands of coffee, the only thing I could tick was "happy to give to others"…hey if they're happy to drink dirt in a jar, who am I to stop them?

  • Are there any T&Cs where they start posting you junk mail?

  • Don't want to get all sciene-y, but glass cups/mugs aren't the best for coffee, as the heat escapes more than 5x thicker than a clay mug. In ozbargain style, I get them for 20c a pop at the op-shop…

    • +4

Thanks for knowledge sharing but ITS FREE!

      • +4

        And new.

        • +3

And delivered, so save petrol costs

    • +1

Which is fine, because the red mug is actually a ceramic red mug, not to be confused with the glass one displayed with the red mug machine.

    • Good for Nestle since the quicker you administer any addictive substance into the bloodstream the more addictive it is in it's nature. People drink their coffee faster if they percieve it as getting cold.

It might have an impact on people's consumption thereby increasing Nestle's profit.

Aside from the unconscious and automatic increase in consumption of the branded coffee that occurs simply by being exposed to the brand name repeatedly and whatever they can glean from the survey in order to cause you to consume more.

    • I intend on using it for tea.

      • +1

I intend to use it with moccona coffee

        • +1

The better brand of instant coffee. ;)

        • @Munki: Yeah that's right, Moccona's the best!

      • +1

        You rebel!

  • -6

Just lets you do it one time

  • +12

geez, a freebie that DOESN'T require you to enter an email address to claim so that the company can bombard you with spam?! What even is this?!

    • -7

a freebie that DOESN'T require you to enter an email address

It does require a street address though…

Just put in a fake one. They don't check !!!

      • +23

Yeah sure, i'll enter a fake street address so that they can send the mug to my fake house.

        • Why not, it's fake coffee…

        • +3

@jv: Its not a fake mug

        • @jv: good one

      • +1

I always use the in-laws address for these type of scenarios

        • Great idea for all the cheap condom deals MM posts…

  • -4

not sure this is a genuine survey so not doing it

    • +3

      It's instant…

  • +7

I don't understand why you need a coffee machine to make instant coffee.

    • +1

Well you don't but Nestle is on a campaign to change your mind because selling pods to machine owners is a billion dollar business already and there are a lot of instant coffee drinkers.

    • I don't understand why you need a coffee machine to make instant coffee.

Or why you need one to make freshly brewed coffee too ???

I guess people are becoming lazy…

      • by looking at this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqJbVWaqdHs
It just a fancy kettle :)

      • Well people will pay for convenience but here's the thing: in blind tests pod coffee beats baristas.

Nestle pod coffee is used by many 5 star restaurants where if they could pay more because it was better they would.

So you are actually getting a consistently very high quality also I believe.

But each to their own, I have to confess I'm a filthy instant coffee drinker much of the time because I'm a tightwad lel.

    • Instant coffee should be made easy. With this machine, there's more clean up. Defeats the purpose really for a quick cuppa.

      • With this machine, there's more clean up.

        Not if you're married…

  • -5

The cup looks so ugly …. They need to pay me to use that cup!

  • So do you go into the draw to win a free mug after you enter your details at the end, or do you already "win" after you fill out that you drink coffee and continue with the survey?

Not worth it if it's the former.

  • Cheers, submitted the form

  • +1

OMG a free mug. I'm so excited!

    • And I just can't hide it!

      • I'm about to lose control and I think I'll like it!

  • wonder if i will actually get a free MUG! Always wanted one of these - very late 90s TV ad mugs.

  • Thanks OP

  • .
Thanks op …..a new mug for a mug :)
of the 3 survey coffees I only like ….Nescafe Blend 43 ESPRESSO …there was no way in the survey to differentiate between them

  • Done, thanks OP. I will receive a RED MUG instead of a RED MUG Machine.

The Nescafe coffee glass for the machine looks nicer.

  • +1

Hopefully they'll have thousands of these mugs because it will be OzBargained =)

  • How many junk will we receive after our free mug?

  • is there a link to the actual facebook promotions page?

    • No it was a sponsored Ad on Facebook as per the link in the original post above

  • Done ! Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP - Great to have a new mug

  • I know I'm cheap so after answering a long survey they better give me a mug :)

  • Nice

  • Cheers OP

  • +1

I'll feel kinda rude drinking real coffee out of this mug.

  • let's see how long this takes

    • approximately 4 1/2 hrs.

  • can be used for anything you like

Ill use it as a pen holder

  • Closed! Ozbargained

  • Survey closed. Move along, nothing to see here people.

  • +3

    Ozbargained.

    • +24

      hi

      • +8

        well that was unexpected

        • +1

Next time wish for a million dollars

  • +1

Getting one of these to drink my Panama Finca La Mula Geisha coffee from.

Edit: Hopefully. Seems I just got in before it shut. I'll wait & see. In the meantime, I'll just have to drink my $300/kg coffee from an old mayonnaise jar. :(

  • +2

    Missed it by that much.

Shouldn't tried to read all of the comments.

  • +1

9396 clicks - maybe 90% of the mugs were from ozbargain?

    • not maybe, definitely

  • and here is your 400th vote just to round you up.

  • +5

$99 for a dumb machine that sprays jets of water on milk powder? No thanks. You can easily do that by pouring hot water from a kettle at some height. Similar to 'pulled tea' in India and some parts of SE Asia.

    • +1

Agreed absolutely ridiculous. Instead of cleaning one cup, now you got to clean parts of the machine as well. Waste of time in the morning for instant coffeee.

  • Thanks OP, I hope I get one!

  • +5

Has anyone received their mug yet?
