Check Traffic Offence Record instantly

If u r not sure whether you've gone over the speed limit or broken red light signal, how do u check instantly to confirm?

Details: A mate of mine was driving where 2 signals (one of them is red light speed camera) are very close, nearly 30 or 40 meters from each other n based on what he said first signal was green n he continued driving at below 30 and had no clue whatsoever whether the second signal was green or red when he past n saw flash, it might have been for opposite Lane too, there are 2 cameras at one side of the road. He wants to check whether he would cop the fine or its relief.

  • Dont think you can, I know you're from NSW but in QLD you can check your points online however they arent updated until you pay the fine.

  • You can't check. If it's NSW you will receive a letter in the mail from the SDRO telling you to pay a fine or appeal on the website.

Jump in a time machine and go into the future two weeks and check it out.

    • If one has the time machine, one could go back and check. Future is far away…..hehehe…

  • Bugger…….snapped…….will suggest him to call RMS if they can tell anything

No state or territory of Australia possesses the functionality that you are searching for. The only thing you can do now is to sit and wait for about two weeks. You will definitely receive a fine within that timeframe, if the issuing agency decides to issue a fine for the photographed offence.

You might want to know that not all flashes relate to the occurrence of an offence, and in such cases the issuing agency may decide against issuing an infringement. Sometimes cameras can emit flashes for no particular reason, perhaps as a self-testing mechanism or a random registration check.

    • Thx, hope it's the random flash.

You have to wait to see if you have won.

    • Yeah, don't think there is a win, flash means 99.9% penalty. But u never know.

They generally take 2 weeks to send the notice, don't they?

  • Yes, a 'mate'….

  • and had no clue whatsoever whether the second signal was green or red when he past

What, he didn't check before he drove through it?
