    This unique pop up card

    They're not very unique, there was a huge stall full of them last time I was Northland Shopping Centre.

      Is anything "very unique"? http://englishplus.com/grammar/00000269.htm

      Maybe I didn't use enough bold font for jv last time :)

      • Is anything "very unique"?

        yes

        • Have to disagree with you there. I feel that is just a butchering of the English language; 'unique' is an absolute that cannot be modified.

          But I'm sure you disagree, because you seem to be a very unique individual, jv ;)

          @ripsnorter:

          Have to disagree with you there.

          Disagree till the cows come home…

          unique (adjective) - not typical; unusual:
          'She has a very unique smile.'

          http://www.dictionary.com/browse/unique

        • @jv:

          mic drop

        • @jv:

          Well I can only agree with you that we'd only be disagreeing until the cows come home. We can both give dictionary definitions saying one or the other, mine showing the original meaning and your's showing the butchered acceptable meaning. The pains of the English language being fluid.

  • I remember buying a bunch of these for A$1 each in Hong Kong five years ago. I hope that the price increase is going to the (probably exploited) workers making these cards and not middle men.
