Pretty uninspiring really. A lot like man u.

The sponsor makes this one of the ugliest Premier League shirts in recent seasons.

the MU sponsor logo is much better than NRMA for example….

    • so which sponsor logo you THINK is nice?

      • Fly Emirates always looks good.

Etihad and Pirelli aren't too bad either.

But the Chevrolet logo is the worst United has ever had and is up there as one of the worst in football.

      • Me? Well I remember the time before shirt sponsors. But that's a rarity these days.

I understand clubs wish to make the extra couple of million $ from the sponsorship, but it looks better when the sponsor can be incorporated into the jersey design and the club's colours. Even a different colour can look okay if it's complimentary.
Man Utd and Sydney FC have huge, full-colour pictures that stand out like a sore thumb. Just hideous. Defacing otherwise nice looking jerseys.

There's a little bit of double standards about sponsors - if you want the Premier League or Champions League logos, as worn on the player's shirts, then you have to pay extra.
A shame you can't (readily) get the shirt without the sponsor.
There also seems to be a growing trend of pushing the shirt sponsor higher up the jersey to the chest, presumbaly so it doesn't get cropped out of photos so easily.

Sometimes a sponsor or logo can create an iconic jersey, such as Newcastle United's 90s sponsor, Newcastle Brown - the famous black and white stripes bore a large, blue star as the sponsor, but this was something that was identifiable with the club's city.

I'm not sure what Eisniwre dislikes about the NRMA logo if he/she is referring to Wanderers shirts. I think they have been incorporated into the design reasonably subtly. It did work better on the original shirts with the broader hoops though as the block background was barely noticeable. The blue background of the Visy sponsor was horrid though. A-league clubs probably don't have enough financial stability and pedigree to

  • Gonna get one with Louis Van Gaal at the back.
