if you order from everbuying then you need to create an account. that gives you 100 "EB points" which can then be used to obtain a further discount discount of US$2 at checkout.

    A118C.

    Next question please.

  • I have 2 x G1W-CB but both have melted in the Aussie sun. The buttons dont work and the date resets to default.
So also looking at other brands/models

    • Really
I've heard that also but I'll try my luck to see if it can handle the heat

I guess it depends on where you live too

Since you asked so nicely the A118C as mentioned above.

  • I use a street guardian SG9665GC, capacitor and metal lens housing make it less susceptible to getting damaged in the hot Aussie sun. Excellent low light performance and a GPS receiver so location data is saved with the video and clock is always accurate (synchronised with GPS).

Only downside is that it's relatively expensive at about $230, and the Kingston card reader shipped with mine was faulty. I bought a 32GB Samsung EVO class 10 card with reader for $12 on a recent deal which fixed that problem.

  • I just bought a A118C, have not installed it yet. It appears to not have HDMI output, is that right?

  • My G1W (capacitor) also did not survive last summer. Did not melt but stopped working in one hot afternoon.
I got a transcend 220 for $180, survived this summer and I'm happy with it. It's a better investment to pay for a decent one to handle the weather.

  • I just bought Urive Cube (Front 1920x1080p rear 1280x720p), 2 Channel Dash Cam from Korea for AUD 215, I was shocked to see how expansive top range dash cams are here, when i can buy at low AUD $200 ordering from Korea Directly. http://www.urive.co.kr/products/blackbox/urive_cube.html
Now i need to figure out a way to install a hatch back rear.

  • Merged from Cheap & Best Dash Cam for My Car

    Guys,

Can someone please suggest me a Cheap & Best Dash Cam for My Car which does the job with minimum hassle. Also is it a good idea to install a rear camera as well? Thanks in advance.

  • Alright, thanks guys! very helpful, so I'll go for a A118c. Couple of questions (sorry):

    1. I am assuming A118c would withstand the heat of Australia if parked in sun

    2. Any suggestions for a rear camera which can record the traffic behind me, thanks again guys.

      • I am in Melbourne, thanks for the detailed explanation.
