I recently searched Tripadvisor for hotel in Kuala Lumpur and found out Priceline.com offered the best price of $95 for 2 nights, and the othe offers were around $120. I booked the hotel through Priceline.com and they clearly showed $95 in the confirmation. However I then checked my credit card account and shockley fount they actually charged $125! The fact is the $95 in in US dollar! I felt been cheated and misled. Why it used US dollars for an Aus customer? Moreover in the same pages all others, like Expedia, showed Aus dollars.
Please never never use Priceline.com for hotel booking!

Shows AUD for me, Tripadvisor just sent you to the US site and you didn't check.
The point is there were a list of 6 offers, all of them only showed $ sign. Actually all but Priceline showed in Aus currency.
Its ~$10 overcharged at the end of the day (compared to the other sites). Not worth the stress!
Though if it seemed 'too good to be true' it's generally a good idea to work out why…
Nothing misleading about it as it shows USD in the top right corner. Anything 'misleading' are assumptions made on your part.
I used to run a pub in London in a tourist area, the American tourists would come in and ask if the menu was in US Dollars.
If the website is .com there is a good chance they are talking about USD unless stated otherwise. So you don't actually pay less at priceline?
did you book using the app or directly from the website?
if it's from the website, it shows the currency on the top right corner.
if it's from the app, then yes, only in USD unfortunately.priceline is great once you get a hang of it, especially when you travel to the US
It's a US website, kinda expect they would list in US dollars, lots of sites do. It sucks that you paid more than you thought but hardly Priceline's fault you didn't check the currency.
