Can anyone recommend a place to buy a SP3 charging cable
Originals from MS are >$100 - crazy for just the charging cable
Are there any OK overseas manufactured ones or anywhere to get an OEM cheap

  You might qualify for a free one, they recently announced that they're doing a recall on many of them because they were dangerous. Have a look:

    Site says it's only for the power cord and not the entire charging unit.

  I bought one from eBay a few months ago, it works ok for $15.

      nvm I have taken a gamboe on one that looks ok ceapest I could find was ~$18
