Hi, just wondered whether shopping square are normally particularly slow and unhelpful or if they are just having a bad week?

I ordered and paid for a 1.5TB HDD and 2GB of ram from them on 14/4/10. (I paid through paypal and the money was already in my paypal account so its not an eCheque causing a hold up) The next day I sent a ticket asking when the items would be posted or are in stock and to this day I have not received an answer. My payment has been confirmed and paypal name checked in my Shoppingsquare account, the order still says processing. So yeah are they normally this slow? Would I be better to just cancel my order? The items are as follows:

    Oh great, just read that they charge a $25 restocking fee for cancellations, what BS, I don't like these guys…

    For the ram try below, was wondering why get 2x 1gb sticks instead of just one its better for your system as it will allow for future upgrade if your system can handle it.

    thanks but my system only handles 4GB tops and it has 2gb in already with 2 slots left

      because the slots are there, does not mean they are have to be used. my idea will leave you one slot spare do you need to fill the slots up ? , this memory does not need to be in pairs

      dual channel, they do wok better like that. anyway you should just wait it out, the restocing fee makes it not worth cancelling.

    Yep that's it dual channels, yeah they messaged me yesterday and told me that they had received the wrong HDD, 32 MB instead of 64 MB and they were expecting mine in yesterday arvo and to be sent out that day via express so its not all bad if they do.
