From personal experience of serviceseeking & hipages.com.au, they merchants tend to offer low price if you pay cash and obviously they won't issue receipt otherwise they would have to charge you GST.
If there is any issue in future, you can't do anything for warranty claim in the absence of receipt so don't do it just to save $200.
PS: I had 3 quotes which offered low prices if I pay cash but I hired one who not only accepted credit card payment with formal tax invoice but they were also the cheapest among all quotes I received in Sydney.
@Sshanaz, who did you end up using in Sydney?
Yes wouldn't know minding as well. What type of door, how much etc.
sydney wide roller shutter.
I installed roller shutter in place of garage door and very happy with the service.
Thank you
@dandandan: I paid $1400 for garage door size roller shutter.
I got 7 quotes which varied between $1400 to $2700.
@Sshanaz: Thanks very much.
abovethelimit: If you don't mind, how much did you pay for the door including installation?
I have a older style tandem garage which means I only had to get a single roller door. It cost me approx 1000$ incl GST for the entire job including 2 X remote controls. Mind you this is 3-4 years ago and the chances are that the prices may have gone up now. I hope this helps. Cheers.
I would recommend Door Image, who does Melbourne wide installation.
They don't have a website, but if you speak to George on the phone, he is very helpful.
They are also affiliated with remoteopeners.com.au, which means that you can get the remote opener at a fairly good price.
I got 2 single garage door+ merlin remote openers for about $2500 in total (including install for everything)

Dandenong Garage doors is whom I used few years ago for a roller door to my garage. Competitive pricing and took the old door and all the rubbish with them.
Ideally, I would recommend using sites like serviceseeking, servicecentral & hipages.com.au and get numerous quotes first. Then shortlist 3 from those quotes and whilst you're at it check reviews about them on the net as well. You will have a good indication by then. Again, pays to do your homework mate on a significant investment. Good luck!!
