I noticed this advertisement on the front page of MSY.

Limit 2 units per customer.

I tried to call MSY (about my original query that took me to the website, not this deal) but nobody was answering at three stores, so I figured I'd submit this as a possible deal. Looking at staticice, there's some for around the same price and since I cannot find out more specs on this hardware, I leave it to someone more interested that me to find out the exact specs.

Yes, if you're in the market for such a device, it's a bit of a cop-out from me to tell you to find out more, but I'd rather you knew about it to investigate than not know about it and miss out on a deal.

    MSY have shocking service and most of the time don't have it in stock. Spend a few extra dollars and actually get it and save 1.5 hours.

    Note: This is from actual experience with the Ultimo, Sydney store. Maybe other stores are good- but I doubt that.

    Edit: They will answer their emails but 5 days later on average and they don't answer phone calls. Also any product returns will take actual HOURS to address.

      I've had much better service at the Malvern branch in Victoria than you'd find at Dick Smith or Harvey Norman. Never had to wait more than a couple minutes.

      Same experience at Cheltenham and Clayton

      I know what you mean re the Ultimo store. While waiting in line I saw employees enter sales or something like that manually into paper folders. Haven't they heard of computers and stock control systems? lol! I would only spend time there if I were buying a lot of things at once and even then I would check the prices at other places first.

    Their normal price is $33 on these. Save $4! Well, a bargain is a bargain I suppose.

    Other places have similar DVD-RW drives at $29 every day. For Sydney: IT Estate (North Rocks), Bliz Computer (Castle Hill), Mwave ($29.99, close enough).

    No deal.

    If you happen to be driving near by MSY and do need a dvd rewriter then it is a bargain. Otherwise you waste your saving in petrol $$
