Japanese-made "ICOM IC-410 Pro" UHF CB mobile now on eBay's "slow road to low price"

We saw bigger shops' $399 & waited…

Now this is one of the few UHF CB sets that
are able to (legally) transmit 25 watts on
your (separately licensed) private UHF freq(s).

(ICOM says their programming software -
needed to install such freq's into this
radio - is hard & costly to acquire…
Unlike the program needed for IC-400 Pro)

Anyway, a WA-based eBay vendor
saved some folks ~$50 over shop
walk-in price.

A fresh look on eBay showed even Lower prices!

(Lowest price we saw today: $332, incl'g S+H)

To wait longer, or not to wait?
that remains the Question, for
some… ;-)

PS Anyone seen any lower shipping-inclusive
prices for the latest ICOM handheld radio?

  • To wait longer, or not to wait?

    Don't
    wait
    if
    you
    need
    it
    now.

  • What do you need those strenghts for?

  • The prices on these things don't move very much at all. Even when the newer models come out. Over the years, I've eve seen some go up slightly.

If you can find a place that sells it for cheap compared to the other places and you need it, go ahead and buy it.

Licensed dealers can program the radio for you on commercial frequencies for a fee, but you'll need to show them proof that you've got the licence to transmit on the frequencies that you want programmed.

    • In hindsight, I think the price drop might be
due to the (slight) growth in value of the Au$
and/or the (slight) drop in the Yen's value.

eBay vendors may be competing (slightly)… ;-)

  • wow 25 watts is big power! do you need all that power? you can get good distance by using a high gain antenna?
