  Only problem I see with this phone is the 3 hour talk time.

  2000mah on a 5"…. im tempted to get one for my father, but god, Im worried he'll be hitting battery issues.

  1GB of ram can be a killer for younger people wanting to be fast, but not for my dad.

      Yeah, but still better than a computer monitor.
      5" screen (480p) * 3 = 1440p @ 15"

      I don't know about you, but my 1440p screen is much bigger than 15"

  1GB/8GB(+SD slot though) a bit of a worry, but otherwise not bad for the price.

  the gps is very good on this phone. i use it with here maps. excellent signal so far.

  bought this at Optus for 79$. 7 to unlock via ebay. Screen res is OK, fine even. GPS and 4G is great. Battery life on par with Moto G 2014. Excellent value, considering buying another because ozbargain brain.

  Have the Y550, resolution is already bad on the 4.5 inch screen. Now they use the same number of pixels on 5 inch screen. Good phone for the price though.
