My car rego is due within next couple of months. I am over 30 with clean driving history(never had demerit point in last 10+ years). The cheapest quote I could obtain is via QBE for $701. It seems to be very high.
I paid only $600 last year so not sure why it has been increased significantly.

BTW that QBE quote doesn't seem that high depending on your car/location/comp. insurance details.
Use the government website as linked above to compare the prices between providers.
Greenslip prices went up compared to last year so most people will end up paying more.
Your location, car, and driving history play the largest part in determining prices. The insurance companies rate all the factors differently so there is no provider who will be the cheapest for everyone.
a couple of CTP providers don't have 'at fault driver cover'
worth spending a few dollars extra for that cover IMHO.
