Activision Publisher Weekend Steam Games up to 80% off

70

Its Activision Publisher weekend sale for PC games till 19/4/16 10am Pacific time.
As usual if you have a VPN, you could purchase them at maybe cheaper prices but needs some searching. I found using a Singapore site, I could get Black Ops 2 for S$16.50 (AUD$15.74) which was half the price of the Aus site.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 - USD$35.99 (AUD$46.60)
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 - USD$29.69 (AUD$38.44) / SGD$16.50 (AUD$15.74) when using VPN for Singapore site.
Call of Duty Ghosts - USD$19.79 (AUD$25.62)

there is more like Spiderman, Deadpool, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 & 4, Fast & Furious Showdown.

it may be cheaper using a VPN so do a search at other countries before purchasing.

Your store region is set based on the location of your first Steam purchase. Your region can be found under Account Details seen below. While traveling, the Steam store will show your region's prices and you will be able to make purchases as you would from home.

While using a VPN on your account you will still be charged at Australian prices unless you change your country in your account settings. Even then, you will need to complete the purchase with a payment method which is tied to a Singaporean address.

Also, everything from Steam in Singapore is region locked (SEA) so creating a new account and gifting the game to your existing account won't work either.

None if you don't want to risk your account getting banned. See my post below.

Is it a good idea to use a VPN with steam though? Risk of ban?

Generally okay if buying directly from a website when using a vpn and getting a steam key.

Can be a problem for some people if changing your steam region plus using a vpn to Russia for cheap Steam keys.

      From the Steam Subscriber Agreement:

You agree that you will not use IP proxying or other methods to disguise the place of your residence, whether to circumvent geographical restrictions on game content, to purchase at pricing not applicable to your geography, or for any other purpose. If you do this, Valve may terminate your access to your Account.

Was gonna say….. no way in flying hell are any of the games even close to a deal based on Activisions expectation each of the ancient games are worth more than a couple of bucks…. USD19.99 for 8 year old games? (profanity) you and your sisters

    • +2

Agreed. You can pick these games up on key sites for half of these prices, if not better

I was just about to write something similar ;)
      These are simply pitiful.

Activision should be ashamed of charging $19.99 for Vampire. The game was unplayable without a shitload of community-written patches. The game is brilliant when working but it was so buggy it was a nightmare.

    • wasn't it $2 or $5 not long ago? -_-

      • Depends where you buy it. But regardless, Activision have some minerals to sell a buggy, 8 year old game for $19.99.

        • haha minerals :P
