In time for flu season, gotta stock up
Weird - in the catalogue it shows it being a 50% special - http://imgur.com/y9tQ6Vm
Must have increased the shelf price before they printed the catalogue :)Here I was thinking i'd scored a bargain buying 8 boxes of them in bulk at Costco for the same price :(
Costco is rarely (if ever) cheaper if you buy things when they're on special at half price at the supermarkets. In my experience, it's actually slightly more expensive most of the time. If you take into account the membership fee, it's significantly more expensive.
Go to Costco for unique products and an interesting shopping experience - not to save money - because you probably won'f if you're already a smart shopper.
Costco is only good for;
- Bakery stuff
- Meat
- optical
- Hearing aides
- Tyres and batteries
- The hot food selling near the registers
Every other item, unless it comes with a special coupon is more expensive
I agree with most part above but Costco does have some unique items. For example, I've never seen Woolworths/Coles selling baking soda in such a big package like Costco and the price is robbery.
Beer is also pretty good
Fill my car at Costco fuel station 10 times and it pays for membership :-)
Yeah it's a tough gig at Costco for an OzBargainer trying to work out savings on the fly. Have done ok on a few staples but what I do like is not having to wait for a supermarket half price special to stock up. You are right though plenty of unique products that make the experience worthwhile
Yay, been waiting for this!
Some Ozbargainers use hankerchiefs to save.
Regular price at Costco is $14.79 for a pack of 8.
The best tissues you can buy I think.
