Was in the market for a new TV, saw Todds Virginia store is closing down, with up to 75% off their stock.

Some pretty amazing prices across a huge range of products. The price list available on the site gives the full breakdown, but it appears they may have updated their website prices (or at least, some of them) to reflect the sale also.

I've crawled the site and scraped the highest value discounts from RRP. No doubt, some of the RRPs are probably inflated but I spot checked a couple on the price aggregators and the ones I checked seemed very well priced.

I've compiled the list of all products on their website which have a saving of 30% or more from RRP (there are 142 of them!), but for Brisbane locals - worth checking out the PDF price list on the website too.

        The Tingalpa store isn't closing down, just the Virginia one. The word is that they're looking for a new location, according to one of their suppliers. Still, it's only a second-hand rumour, and it will leave a bit of a hole in the market.

    Great contribution to the group. Highly recommend the Oppo BDP-105D when you have an above average TV and Amp/Speakers or Headphone AMP and Headphones.

      I was going to post similar. Some items much lower than other stores offering at RRP, but a search showed plenty of places close or better than the mark down at Todds. Its partly why they are going under youd have to think. You can only claim to offer "better service" or a nicer store front for the high mark up for so long. Hope youre paying attention Gerry.

    A lot of nice gear here. I'd suggest checking out the RX-V679 AV receiver. Twin independent zones, MusicCast for multi-room audio, WiFi, HDMI upscaling, and a heap more. That's a good price for a receiver to suit a lot of homes. Add the WX030 or ISX080 to that for a MusicCast third zone very easily.

      Probably because they put the price up on most items.
      With most Hi-Fi gear if you're not getting at least 20-30% off retail you're not getting a good deal regardless of retailer.

    Walked into the store about 10mins ago to see if there were any good deals still on the shelves. All I could heard was the owner having a bitched to 2 customers about internet stores doing him out of business. Got sucked of hearing his voice echoing through the store so I left.
