    Public Service Announcement

    While this is an amazing price it appears that some people (including myself) are prone to acne from Pantene conditioners (and possibly shampoos) e.g. see http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/347291-pantene-pro-v-… or http://www.healthboards.com/boards/acne/149480-shampoo-causi…

    Since I rarely get pimples it appears I've had 100% correlation of Pantene conditioner use to spots whenever I've had to borrow some.

    If you've used Pantene for years and get new spots every week I suggest you try a few other brands (L'Oreal shampoos and conditioners give me no spots but is expensive. Head and shoulders shampoo gives me no spots but I'm not experienced with the conditioner. Even the cheapest stuff might give you less pimples than Pantene). Conditioners are risky in general.

    "Long story short: $$$ for dermo visits as I had HORRIBLE pimples all over my forhead, down the side of my face and my scalp itched, we FINALLY figured out it was my shampoo. Brand? Pantene. She informed me that many of the ingredients cause allergic reactions and clog pores. Stopped the shampoo, skin problem was gone. For me, that's why I think it's "terrible". It did give my hair a great sheen. Shame."
