I don't like them. Permissions for the app are ridiculous…(access to my SMSes and delete SMSes, really?) Also it will not give you amount of steps its seeing from the Flex until it synchs with the fitbit website first (feels like I'm an after thought, secondary citizen of the masses that collects data for them) so you need Internet on all the time and then wait for the sync to complete before you see any updates. So if Fitbit goes bust, these bands also become useless.
I've gone back to the step counter on my phone…ah, instant access to my own data.

I kept looking at it to see if it will tell me the time! Argg, NO.
