It's a 'ghost' variant, so of course it is. As for the endless plastic vs die cast debate… snore. There are tonnes of poorly-engineered metal G1 figures, and even some modern ones (Titanium Series Megatron comes to mind), while the Masterpiece line is plastic.

This thing is fugly. Wouldnt buy for more than $30, and even then only as a destructible toy for a young kid.
