Oppo R7S $488 Australian Stock @ Allphones

30

Been looking for a excellent phone for the missus and found this gem. At least $20 better than the best price and I can find, plus you get the benefit of an Australian warranty.

Before anyone says 'Dick Smith has it cheaper', good luck trying to find one.

BIGGER AND TOUGHER

The latest addition to the OPPO R7 series puts your power worries to rest, bringing you a battery that lasts all day. Big on power, size and style – the OPPO R7s covers all your communication needs effortlessly.

HIGHLY CHARGED FOR MAXIMUM POWER

Configured with an ultra large battery of 3070 mAh capacity, this energy powerhouse also boasts the VOOC Flash Charge feature.

A mere 5 minutes charge gives you 2 hours of talk time. Safety standards are impeccable, with five levels of protection ranging from power adaptors, charging cables, interfaces and battery safety.

FASTER SPEEDS, GREATER LOADS

And that enduring power lets you run not just any run-of-the-mill device, but one with a jaw-dropping octa-core processor with a large 4GB RAM memory.

Look forward to lightning-fast downloads, games and programs with minimal disruption for prolonged periods. Then pack in more of your favorite photos, videos and songs by expanding your memory bank to 32GB or even 128GB for endless entertainment on the go.

UNIQUE CRAFTSMANSHIP

The sleek outer body, ultra narrow 2.2 mm bezel and immense 5.5-inch 2.5D arc edge screen of the stunning R7s have not come together by pure coincidence.

Made from a premium metal alloy that has been treated with state-of-the-art surface coating technology, it is clearly designed to be an object of great admiration.

The unique curves add balance, charm and elegance to the metallic surface and colorful 2.5D arc edge glass screen of the R7s, making it as much a pleasure to hold as it is to look at.

Outright: *Offer ends 30 April 2016 (unless extended). Prices shown are not available with any other offer. No further discounts apply. Colours may vary. Available while stocks last. R7s supports 4G on both SIM slots but only one SIM can be 4G at a time.

  • Oppo F1 plus is coming

    • When is that? I am interested to grab one. Hope the price is on the same level to F1.

  • OP did you check with Dick Smith Fountain Gate? Fairly sure I saw these the other day.

    • all gone at Dickies FG

edit- they only had a Huawei P8 for $498 lol

      • There's not much of anything left now.

  • So does this have dual sim card slots?

    • Answer is in last sentence of blurb posted by OP.

      • Yes I thought so.. Price wise, I went to DSE website and it's $370!! Wish I could find one…

        • don't we all.

btw got a email from Costco just now with $50 off the R7S with a bonus 13000mAh powerbank.

Anyone know how much Costco is selling them for? If anything I'll go over there tonight and probably have buyers remorse.

        • @rodripa:
Last time I checked they were $509 - but that was in February/March

  • +1

I have had one of these in the past.
The best thing about it was the lovely AMOLED screen with smooth curved edges - I took the plastic protector off, as it is gorilla glass 4.
Such a shame to have the cheap feeling plastic on it. If you feel paranoid, get a glass protector at least.
I changed from the R7s to a Nexus 5X as I preferred the 5.2 inch size and lower weight, as well as encryption and fingerprint security. (which the r7s does not have)

  • Anyone can confirm the price at Costco?

  • Can I still buy at DS website ? It is so much cheaper.

  • +2

    $499, so $449 with coupon

  • Went to costco today and asked the mobile center about tha dual sim. The guy checked a website (not sure what website but maybe oppo official Au site?) and said only 1 sim is 4g and the other is GSM.. Not sure which one is correct, OP or Costco guy? Really want to know…

    • I am not sure about the 4G per sim support ( I think it does, but only the one you set as data, which can be either sim) but generally would take anything the Costco guy says with a grain of salt, as I saw him arguing with some customer that the R7s did not support Telstra 4GX network, as it was not a Telstra branded handset. The Costco guy had very shallow product knowledge, works for a mobile phone shop (ie not actually Costco staff).
the oppo r7s has good network compatibility with Australian mobile networks, with band 28 700MHz support as well as most other bands used here.

      • Thanks @pete2 for your comment. I kind of agree with you that Costco guy has very little knowledge about the handset. I remember asking him about what OS Oppo has installed since I forgot it uses ColorOS, and he said "Android!"…

supports 4G on both SIM slots but only one SIM can be 4G at a time

I was asking here because OP mentioned both slots supports 4G, and I definitely would purchase one if it is… Perhaps anyone who has bought one from Costco could confirm? Thanks in advance

  • You may want to ask on the whirlpool forum, there is an Oppo company rep on there (Omar)
