I'm a current customer so this doesn't benefit me but this is a great offer for those of you looking at setting up some servers.
I've been using about 7 Vultr servers for a few months for stuff related to Price Hipster and they've been rock-solid stable and super fast. My Digital Ocean servers are just as stable but not as fast.
Please don't abuse this offer. I'd feel responsible. :-)
Referrer earns $30 credit. Referee earns $20 credit.
Last year they had same offer. I took it and they froze my account 2 days later saying they need to have my credit card information in their system. I declined and that's that, could not even do a test drive.
Why would a sane person send credit card info over email!?
Doesn't every serious OzBargainer have a reloadable credit card with a couple of bucks credit that they use for all their trials?

I don't understand the "hassle". You get it once from Coles, Auspost, etc, and then never touch it again. It could just be a prepaid card, you don't specifically require reloadable for this purpose. Afterwards, you can sign up to any of these free trials and never worry about forgetting to cancel.
It sounds like you would have liked to try this service and then didn't so the one-time "hassle" of buying a card would have helped here. Stan is another service that requires a card for the three-month trial. Netflix I think too with the one month trial? Plenty of occasions where this comes in handy. The Coles Reloadable card is free every couple of months too.
They didn't ask for my credit card via email. I guess they've sorted themselves out.
You need a credit card to deploy the server. I tried woth my free cash by optus prepaid card and it told me that since it is a prepaid card, I must deposit at least $5. Any way around this. Really looking forward to this free VPS!

I'm not entirely sure if the credit expires after 60 days. That's not really clear on their page.
