It is USD $0.17 more expensive at Gearbest without a coupon.

    http://www.gearbest.com/mobile-power-bank/pp_144271.html

If you have a coupon for Gearbest it might be the better buy…

They're permanently banned for a reason. Would you risk it for 17 cents?

      • +5

I've ordered 10 times from Gearbest (flashlights and 18650 batteries) and I've always received my orders within a month, most a lot quicker.

I've had more issues with Banggood.

Never heard of Geekbuying before so I trust Gearbest more than Geekbuying…

        • Geekbuying have been around a long time and their deals have been popular in the past. Especially the Quick Charge range of products.

          @Clear:

Those Tronsmart quick chargers do look really good. Will probably buy one next time a deal comes up…

      • Have to laugh at the greed of Ozbargain.

Permanently ban Gearbest from being listed as bargains, yet will happily run their banner ads….

        • -1

Lol the ads are powered by Google Ads, hope you understand how Google Adwords work :P

        • +1

@regenade: Even in Google ads, the web site serving the ads can control which advertisers it wants to block.

You really need to stop trashing other companies! I am still waiting on this item for over two months now. There are others in that deal and other deals on Ozbargain that have had similar issues. Like GreatWhiteHunter, I have had no issues with Gearbest. Usually shipped within 48 hours and received in 2 - 3 weeks. If the prices are similar I'd buy from Gearbest any day.

Perhaps you should ask for help before immediately launching into a Paypal dispute? Geekbuying can't do anything with the transaction until Paypal finish their investigation.

        • @Clear: You lie when it suits you just to make yourself look better!

Before I opened a paypal dispute, I contact the company 3 times. Each time, their response was: it will be shipped tomorrow!

I sent you the order number to which you didn't bother replying at first. Eventually this was your response:

I can only transfer messages through marketing to customer service and they will email you directly. I'm tagged as 3rd Party Marketing on Ozb to emphasize that I'm not a direct employee.

@princo60: You're taking a much later response out of context.

As I said… "If your Paypal dispute has been escalated to a claim then there is nothing any of us can do until Paypal finish their investigation."

Once a Paypal dispute is escalated to a claim, the transaction is frozen and there is nothing Geekbuying can do until Paypal finish their investigation. I never heard anything further from you and left it at that.

        • +2

@Clear: You are the one suggesting I just launched the Paypal dispute without trying to get help. Three messages to the company over a two week period. That's more than enough time for a good business to sort things out.

        • @princo60: How long did it take for you to escalate the Paypal dispute to a claim? During the dispute stage, Geekbuying are able to offer a refund among other things. That's why Paypal recommend that you try and sort things out with the seller before escalating to a claim.

        • +1

@Clear: Three days! Did you miss the bit where I said, I tried to sort things out with the seller two weeks prior to that.

        • @princo60: Just trying to get a clearer image of the situation and now I know for certain that the Paypal dispute is appropriate. There is probably nothing I can do to change your mind about Geekbuying, but if there is then please let me know.

        • Hmmm interesting

I guess no-ones perfect but there have been issues with delays and AU plugs on this deal too

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/239558

        • @GreatWhiteHunter: Correct. The item went out of stock and Geekbuying marked it as Sold Out. Geekbuying then obtained more stock from Tronsmart a few days later and started sending them out.

There is no reason from my experience to not buy from Gearbest.
8 items over the last year, all arrived.

Most likely the issues with th VR goggles was postage related and not the fault of the store. Could just as easily happen to other HK / China sellers, e.g geekbuying (As you can see in the comments https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/3596723/redir issues, issues, issues!)

      • +1

Agreed. I've not had issues with them either. Ozb just being greedy. If arrogant behavior doesn't change, people will go elsewhere.

        • -1

Perhaps they've finally brought themselves up to their other websites, like Everbuying.

OP, please add 3.2% cashrewards in the desc too.

  • Does this give the 'fast charge' for Samsung Galaxy phones?
How much mA it'll charge? I think Fast Charge gives 1800mA.

    I am using Galaxy S6
