Is There a Cash Withdrawal Limit at NAB Branches?

Hi all. Was just wondering if any of you know if NAB impose cash withdrawal limits at their branches. I ask because I remember about 6 years ago, I was only allowed to take out $5000 on any given day, and anything greater required a few business days notice. Is this still the case?

Yes. Banks only have a certain amount of cash each day to service everyone, so if you are looking to withdraw anymore than 3-5k (approximate) then you will need to let them know in advance.

Simple, just ring up your bank :)

  • I had no idea, I've taken out around 15k from Com Bank without prior notice.

  • Head to Chinatown branches. They are always stuffed with 100s.

  • If it is a small branches (not in CBD or major business hub - chatswood, strathfield …) and it will depends on the branches supp;y.

Last time cash out $30K and it need 2 business days notice as they don't waive $10 Bank Cheque fee. After counting all the note they I request a envelop they said they are running out.

After that I stay away with that branch.

  • Worked at NAB some time ago, if you go to smaller branches usually 10k, I've seen this stretched to 20-30k when the money is available (usually due to a customer depositing a very large amount), if you need more than 10k they like to be warned first so they can order the cash. Go into the branch and request them to order it in for you.

  • what's the atm cash limit?

1k last I tried, but that was a long time ago.

  • Just as an update to anyone that may be interested; it is indeed dependent on the branch. The branch I contacted was happy to do over 10k, but the advice I was given was that some branches won't go beyond 3-5k without prior notice.

  • Hello know this is a vary old post but was you able to get the money out same day at alll or did you have to calll and wait few days to be able to get it
