Looking for a cheap but decent AC Router. I don't have any NAS or any plans on streaming local content. I'm thinking of getting the Telstra Gateway Max but the review is mixed bag.
Looking for a Cheap AC Wi-Fi Router
Comments
Preferably under $80 but can go to $100 if it is a good value router.
try the xaiomi range. Have a look at those.
Have you tried yourself? Never knew XiaoMi make a router.
No. I didn't go the 'cheap' option for router, if I did I would of got that. You should look it up and see for yourself.
TP-LINK AC750 $80 (router only)
Which one would be better that or the TP-LINK AC1200? Same price
I'd consider something like the Ubiquiti Unifi UAP-AC-Lite. Can get it for around the $130 or so mark. It's only an AP but you can use your existing router to provide switching/dhcp services. In the future, it's dead simple to add in more if you want to increase coverage. Can also later get an ERL3 to replace the old router.
Have anyone heard of Lenovo Router?(http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lenovo-newifi-AC-1200M-Dual-Band-…)
No gigabit LAN? Only two network ports? sounds a little crappy, not that great value.
I would pay a little more and get something tried and tested. TP Link Archer C5 or C7.
In fact, the C5 isn't even that expensive. Only $72 bucks.

http://www.mwave.com.au/product/tplink-archer-c50-ac1200-wir…It is compatible with NBN networks, and has a 2x USB ports, guest network, and most importantly decent range.
Everyone's definition of 'cheap' is different. What's your budget?
