Craziest Article Ever? or Maybe a Belated April Fool's Joke? H&M/Asos to introduce a wedding dress range.

So, this is in the news.com.au portal today…

http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/fashion/fashion-trends/opin…

I think the lady reporter is from a different planet.

I don't have a problem with people (with the means to) spending up on their wedding, but to say that other people who don't spend crazy amounts on their wedding don't value their marriage etc etc is way off! shakes head

Yeah that article is a shocker, but you can bet your bottom dollar the editor knew exactly how people would respond. It'll drive drive traffic to the site for sure.

I refuse to click the link lol used to F5 news.com.au throughout the day, and it wasn't good, with it's sensationalist headlines, typos etc!

  • Ah, yes. Because nothing shows commitment to a shared life together quite like blowing $50k+ on a shiny rock, a dress and a party…

    Craziest Article Ever?

More like business as usual for internet news. Have you just started reading news on the internet or something?

If you ever decide to stop consuming it cold turkey you'll have an experience surprisingly close to that of a drug addict, albeit milder. Not a pleasant experience of course what with having other junkies on Facebook constantly sharing news with you without reading the articles so they can win the … whatever people do that for.

That silver sequined dress the writer wore is way tackier than any of the examples.

    • Yep…my 10 y.o. daughter can make a much better 'dress' with a roll of aluminum foil.

  • The $152 and $253 are nice as. Like 100 times better than that metallic crap the author wore.
Also she all caps "Mac" as "MAC", who does that?

Also had a laugh at JJ's comment on there.

Here's a link to a screenshot for those that don't want tot give News Corp ad money.

Also I wonder if the author supports same-sex marriage?

I bought my dress at the op shop for $30 and blinged it up with my mum with sequins etc. this was a nice time for us to bond before I left home and made my dress unique. I think the "cheap" dresses look much better than her "wedding" dress.

I feel sorry for this lady if she thinks that what she spent on her dress is a sign of her commitment - but obviously my 17 years of marriage aren't as committed as her 3 years (even if it took her 10 years to commit to marriage in the first place.)
