Travel pants

Hey all,

Will be doing some travelling soon and really wondering about pants.

I'm specifically not after the ultra-touristy look eg convertible pants with a thousand pockets, zip offs, etc.

The other thing is there's some really excellent options from overseas, eg Bluff Works and Outlier, but adding postage to USD and they're beyond me, plus I think I'll leave before they ship.

I do love a good pair of jeans, but they don't dry quick and there's more comfortable options for long flights I'd guess.

Any thoughts appreciated.

    • whats wrong with flags and selfie sticks

  • I traveled through Sinaloa Mexico wearing these pants. Very comfortable and many positive comments from the Cartel. Even High 5's.

    • Everyone knows the Cartel has a sweet spot for the circus.

  • I've been washing my clothes in a thick plastic bag (that doesnt leak) in the sink in my apartment in Chiang Mai. No buckets around, they expect me to go out and use a machine in the street! I'm travelling with the north face convertible touristy pants though, jeans and a some jeans that i cut up and turned into shorts. The nylon north face pants dry instantly so i only wear them in between wearing my jeans. Jeans everywhere i say!

  • obviously depends where youre travelling to..

  • Tip for laundry whilst travelling. Hand wash small quantities as you go. After hand washing, wring, then roll tightly in towel and wring again. Then fold, stack, and compress flat damp, and leave for an hour or so (this will get rid of a lot of the wrinkles) Then hang.

    • Thanks!
