I already bought mad max maybe ill have to sit this month out.

    • How is the game?

I've heard good things, however people say that it is quite tedious. I'm just sitting here waiting for a good steam deal for Witcher 3, playing games like Tomb Raider to keep me occupied.

        It gets repetitive.
still worth it for $16 plus whatever the other games are.

        I paid $20 months ago.

Pretty sure that most of us who played Fallout 4 spent more time doing the never ending repetitive missions than the whole game of Mad Max.

Repetitive gameplay isn't necessarily bad, for example I really enjoyed the Batman Arkham series - and all of those games in that series were just doing the same thing over and over.

        • @c0balt: "I'll mark it on your map".

I agree with everything you said. 80 hours in and i'm still seeing new things in Fallout, but that's not to say that the game is quite repetitive.

        • @c0balt: Didn't say that was a bad thing.
very good game but not for those who hate very repetitive games.

    • there'll be at least 5 other games, so most likely still worth it. I already had This War is Mine, however Renowned Explorers and The Magic Circle have been on my Steam want list for a long time.. same goes for the previous month's bundle - I already had Wasteland 2, but Grav, ARK, Shantae Pirates's Curse, I am Bread and Sentinels of the Multiverse were long time lingers on my Steam want list.

  • Cheaper than the slightly dodgy G2A even.

I've wanted to give Mad Max a go for quite a while. The reviews are generally very positive and the negatives are issues that I kind of enjoy (don't really mind a grind if the general gameplay and mechanics are good). It is also really well optimised, so it's going to look great and run well given your system specs.

I should have jumped on Humble Monthly last month with the Southpark and TWOM deal. It's looking like a great monthly subscription.

When does the reoccurring payment occur? Do they advertise what the next months game will be before payment? I'm just wondering if it's prudent to cancel the subscription straight after getting the cd keys, as I don't want to forget to cancel and end up with another copy of some game I don't even play.

my payment came out 6 days before they released all the games but after they announced southpark and This war of mine.

I believe that the reoccurring payment occurs on the last Friday of every month. I would cancel once they give you the keys for the rest of the games in the bundle. I don't believe there is any consequence in constantly renewing and cancelling your membership.

  • Mad Max isn't bad but as mentioned above, it does get repetitive quick.

Has anyone had experience with refunding humble monthly bundles? Square Enix were quite quick on their refunds.

  • Do you own Mad Max even if cancel immediately?

And do we get April's pack or only from May?

    • You receive the key immediately and can redeem it, so yes.

The bundle you will get hasn't released yet.

  • So we get charged the $12 on 29/4/16 for Mays bundle, but get Mad Max straight away? And we then cancel after that?
Or we get charged the $12 on 29/4/16 for Mays bundle, but get Mad Max straight away? And cancel straight away?
Or we get charged the $12 now and cancel straight away, and get Mad Max now and the bundle when it comes out?

    Can't work it out…

    • I THINK, not certain, but i believe it the 3rd option. With any of the Humble Bundle Bundle's, there is usually a "beat the average" price whereby you get 3 games instantly, then other games get added in a week or so. You can pay the beat the average price and get the secondary games when they come out after one single payment. I would assume the same would apply to Mad Max.
