  • Liam, please forgive a technologically-naive enquiry. I am currently using another VPN, and I have been with them for a couple of years. They're still pretty good, but measurably less-satisfactory (slow to connect) than they once were, and sometimes establishing the route is simply impossible for a full hour. I wouldn't mind having yours, but, at the same time, I am hesitant to wipe the other one in order to sign up with you, in case I end up with less than I currently have (as I said, it's not by any means a POOR service, it's just that I remember when it was better). If I sign up with you and install your system on the same computer, what are the implications for the "conflict"? Are you compatible with someone else's system, or will one of the services simply refuse to work unless I uninstall the other? Thanks for your advice!

    • Hi Alan,

You shouldn't need to install anything, but can use the OS built in VPN connector (see my instructions above).

I find it's much more stable and quicker to connect/disconnect.

      • Thanks, Liam. I will have a look at those instructions and, hopefully, proceed.

  • If you cancel the recurring payment in paypal, does it cancel the whole service including the year's worth that you've already paid for?

    • Yeah, I'm also wondering what the correct course of action is for this.

There is a "Request Cancellation" button in the client portal which I'll probably just click once the new service is active (ordered today, still pending).

I'm paying for an unlimited plan from today anyway, so the old one being cancelled probably doesn't matter too much.

      • Just cancel once this payment has been deducted. It only means they can't automatically charge you on the next bill

  • how to buy through Paypal option… it still asks for other entries to be filled..normally we don't have to fill anything if we buy through paypal,,isn't it ?

    • I wouldn't bother. I bought it but it's too slow to use streaming (I am getting under 1mbps trying to stream IPL). It also doesn't have a Mexican server so can't be used for getting cheap Origin games.

Australian speed is slightly better but still very poor (~3mbps).

You get what you pay for…

      • i am thinking of using it occasionally only, so u signed up giving all the details in the subscription columns..right ?

        • yeah I think so. I use a VPN to get around geoblocking rather than for privacy or torrenting so it doesn't really bother me.

        • same here..just to get around geoblocking as my PIA has stopped providing unlock the geoblocking thing…any other way of signing up directly through paypal.. i remember when I signed up for PIA i paid through paypal direct link and it didn't ask for any other details..like name, address, email n phone number..its just too much infn they asking for I guess

Just ran a speedtest.net session through their USA West Coast server:
        177ms ping
        6.58Mbps down
        0.55Mbps up

Might be a time of day thing, however I haven't had any trouble streaming through it.

        Netherlands server:
        433ms ping
        6.00Mbps down
        0.41Mbps up

        Australia server:
        38ms ping
        6.57Mbps down
        0.62Mbps up

Without the VPN my speeds are:
        18ms ping
        7.14Mbps down
        0.69Mbps up

I couldn't really ask for any more with my current internet connection. And it's a few dollars a year. As I've said above, it's been much better since I stopped using the OpenVPN connection, so if you haven't done that yet I'd suggest it.

        • I'll try that, thanks.

        • @magicmoose: Cool, let us know how you get on. It would be good to know if it's just me as I've recommended the service to a number of people now.

        • @Abaddon: I haven't used it much, but it does seem better. However I'm not sure if that is just sure to server load being less when I've tried it.

  • I'm getting the following error: "The L2TP connection attempt failed because the security layer encountered a processing error during initial negotiations with the remote computer"

I'm on windows 10 and have set it up through L2TP.

Have tried the reg fix - AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule, value 2.

    Any ideas?

Assuming you selected L2TP/IPSec with pre-shared key? And have the correct details for pre-shared key, server/user name and password.

Remember that your password for the servers is not the same as your password for logging into the vpn.sh site.

  • Bought this, and it says services are pending? What the hell?

How do I refund or cancel this service.

  • Went through the sign up and noticed my name and full address and phone number is required. I can't continue. For a VPN service that is meant to hide myself on the net, giving out all this information is not really necessary.

    • —EDIT —

Oh well I could not let this go for this price. Signed up :)

      • did you have to fill all entries or some of them can be skipped ? do they verify it to be genuine or you just have to fill it n thats it..

        • Just have it filled but you need your true email address which will blow your cover away :)

But when you get your activation letter with your username do change the user name as they by default use your email address

  • Hi all - do you know how many devices / concurrent connection allowed with this account?

    • Looks like it's 3.

      • Thank you for this. I asked them but the ticket is just in Open state - they dont bother to reply :D

  • thinking about signing up as i wanted a VPN for my minix android box, however as far as i can tell, i will need to manually add all the servers into the inbuilt vpn function with the android OS…..

is there a better and easier way to use this (and change servers) for android?
