Fitbit Flex for $83.85 @ Dick Smith, 35% off in-Store Only

50

Originally $129.
Saw this today at my local Dick Smith (Seven Hills NSW), Last week the Fitbits were 30% off. Plenty of stock as shown in the images. Might be worth it to stick it out till the price goes down, or not. Up to you!

  • Why only at Seven Hills?

    • Not sure if its anywhere else. Haven't been to any other stores yet.

All Dick Smith have minimum 35% off all stock now.

Aren't they only like $79 RRP at other stores or am I missing something?

    • older and outdated model.
bought one for under $80 on eBay brand new at least 2 years ago and given away.
      one tech to wear.

      • Old (sic) tech to wear

    • I thought they would be cheaper than they are too, but at Goodguys, Officeworks, Harvey Norman and JB HiFi all have them for $94-$99.

  • They haven't alot in Merrylands

Plenty in store at Parafield Gardens in SA, was there last night picking up a K830 backlit HTPC keyboard for $53 :)

I'd have got one but it doesn't integrate with HealthKit (intentionally, Fitbit wants more money than the hundreds I've already spent and now have to replace because I want to use my data elsewhere)

    • Did you notice if they had any of the other models left?

      • +1

They had a bunch of Zip, One and Flex (nonHR), no other models that I saw

      I think you mean Hollywood?

      • Oops, yep sorry Paralowie / Hollywood, not Parafield Gardens

        • Thanks for clearing that up

        • It's okay, locals understood regardless. ;)

  • Saw a bunch at my local stores (garden city), the HR range are out of stock though.

Dicksmith had these as low as $49 around Xmas, so I'd wait for it to drop more.

  • Speaking of which, I should get mine from UTas soon.

  • Bought one charge hr from burwood store for $129. They have 35% of all fitness wearables

  • I accidentally put my Fitbit One through the washing machine last week (forgot it was clipped on shorts).
Put in rice for several days but still dead, and once I cracked it open, there was corrosion on the board.

The biggest complaint I see online about Fitbit is most of their products are splashproof only.

Decided to buy the Garmin Vivosmart bracelet instead.
It's fully waterproof (can swim with it) and has a rounded edge profile (does not catch as much as my old Flex did when putting on shirt/jacket).

Garmin Connect website also allows you to export your fitness data as a .TCX file for other fitness programs and .KML for Google Earth. From the Splits page you can export a CSV file with the details of your activity.

Thought this might help anyone looking for a waterproof fitness tracker.
    Cost $96.

    • I can agree. Garmin products are much better value than Fitbit.
