    Do they come in metric?

    • 1 foot 300mm do the math.

      • 304.8mm actually but I guess you could use your maths to round that down to 300mm if you wanted. That's why the pesky 12 inches never quite used to match up with 30 cm on your old wooden school ruler.

    • Unfortunately not. Just cut to length and rejoin with some cheap tin solder. All good. They will work just as well as the new ones do.

Get jv to do it he has nothing better to do

Exceptional use of bolding as always jv ;)

    If you don't mind white, they are about a dollar cheaper;

But a different mix of lengths. (A 6ft in the black replaced by a 1ft in the white).

    • ^ +1.

That was the first thing I thought.. "wait.. didn't they have it cheaper from geekbuying…?"

beware of cables becoming loose after 3-6 months, tested a dozen over time. the quality of the cable is top notch, it can transfer fine and charges well. but no point if the connector becomes loose over time.

to be safe only stick with Tikbro or Blitzwolf. premium quality, tested through and through.

    • +3

I thought Tikbro had similar problems, did new version actually fix this problem?

      • yeah in the start it had loose connectors. the new version fixes it, the connectors are very solid, lasting really well I think it's been 8 months+ not becoming any looser over time.

Tronsmart out of the box, some might not even last 2 months. very sad times.

        • I don't know, I think it might be a bad quality control problem. As in, they have bad batches. I bought tronsmart ones last year, none of the cables are loose as far as I can see.

        • Even the newer TiKbro are useless. I am using the Tronsmart ones that come with the charger and they are quite Robust.

        • Yep got the Tronsmart mixed set before, the 6 ft ones are bad. Connectors become loose. The shorter ones are less fail, the ones that came with chargers were actually not too bad. But I still wouldn't buy them again.

Same story with Tikbro cables. Although I haven't had experience with the "newer" version, I still wouldn't try. Don't have faith in them at all.

        • @hawamahal: you must be really unlucky, are you sure you got the very new batch? I bought so many and none of them have become loose with heavy use.

    • I had same issue with Tronsmart and Tikbro cables. May have come out from the same junk factory if you ask me.

I've had no issues with Blitzwolf cables.

    • I can confirm this, bought the same cables and <1 year the connectors have become loose. Renders the cable fairly useless.

I think you got your AUD and USD mixed up.

The connectors on these are awful. I have both the original silver design and the updated gold version. Both versions are identical except for the superficial colouring and each are plagued with the flaw of the connector "nubs" wearing away within weeks of use.

Geekbuying were pathetic with their support and only offered a $4 refund.

    • +1

I had exactly the same experience with the original silver Tronsmart cables last year and was offered a paltry partial refund by Geekbuying.

  • +3

As others have said, these cables are crap. Don't expect them to work more than a handful of times.

  • +6

These cables look deceivingly well made and perhaps the internals are better than average but the connectors are garbage.

  • +3

Garbage cables. Wasted some money buying t this pack a year ago. Wouldn't touch TronDumb stuff again.

  • I'm after a couple micro-USB cables but after reading all these comments will stay clear of this deal. My question now is where to get a good quality 2m (6ft) cable? Blitzwolf seem to all be 1m.

    • +2

Blitzwolf do have 2m cables. You can get from Banggood.com or you can order off me on ebay if you don't want to wait. I have 2M white in stock.

  • +2

I have also had this exact set, poor quality, micro connectors on all cables except the smallest refused to work after one month of use. Avoid!

  • +3

Can confirm connectors are these cables sucks big time. Bought 2 x 4 pack, all became loose after a few months…
