  • Once upon a time Big W had $1 deal and Staples ~80cent.

    • How often is it this price?

i can confirm they are made in China paper.

    Is that good or bad?

    • I suppose bad if you support only Australian made paper. Good if you don't care one way or the other where it's made it's still cheap. This is Ozbargain though and it's about bargains. I just thought i'd let people know where this paper is made so there's no confusion of country of origin.

      Asbestos free? :)

    • The Chinese invented paper so my guess is that it is good and cheap?

    • It means don't eat it or you'll get hepatitis.
Unlike good old Australian paper which is great roughage.

    Love the quantity discount.

Buy 5 reams, save 0% over 1 ream.

    • Well they could make individual reams more expensive if you want to make yourself feel good about getting a discount when buying 5…

  • Whats the difference between fuji xerox express apart from $1.69

The Fuji Xerox Express has a CIE whiteness 160, this Fuji Xerox Performer has CIE whiteness 167 according to the package. Perhaps the Performer release is just slightly better.

Also that Fuji Xerox Express from Officeworks only comes in a box of 2500 sheets as unwrapped sheets . I'd say that release is designed more for large volume printing office businesses. Xerox Performer comes wrapped in 500 sheet reams.

If it was me i'd get the Fuji Xerox Performer 2500 sheet box for $15 at least it comes as 5 x 500sheet reams instead of just unwrapped sheets which the Express release paper comes as.

    34 reams x $3 = $102

    deduct 15%(approx from DM egift) = $86.70
and another $10 value for shopping at woolies
{if you pickup another 3 reams)

approx $87 cost out of pocket for $112 value

    $86.70/37 = $2.35 potential (approx only)

That's a lot of paper 17,000 sheets. What are you going to do with that much copy paper?. Have we got a mid sized office business.

And imagine trying to fit 34 reams of copy paper into a shopping trolly be a fair bit of weight. I doubt you could find a Woolworths store with that much stock on the shelf any how. The Woolworths i went to only had perhaps 10 reams at the most on the self. Perhaps order online and get it delivered by Woolworths.

Perhaps a better idea would be to order 7 x 5 boxes ($15 each 2500 sheets each box) to make 35 reams all boxed up for you for $105 before those discounts. Be more convenient having 35 reams already packaged up in boxes rather than trying to carry 34 separate reams on their own.

      • Curiosity ey?

I say a math problem when i saw the post.
Hahaha… hope you can see the lighter side and not take it so literally.

Sharing an idea suited for any1 in need of heaps of paper.
        (Raincheck if no stock)

Thanks for adding on/ developing from my seed.

In my opinion a good deal.

Maybe but in my experience with others using this paper it is prone to jamming. Part of this may be because Woolworths like to stack the packets on an angle on the short edge which damages the paper but I also think it's poor quality.

For the sake of a few dollars just buy Reflex, support Australian industry and get good quality paper that works.

    • The Xerox paper at the local Woolworths was stacked flat the way it's meant to be. And i've used Fuji Xerox A4 paper before and never had any jamming problem.

      • The Xerox paper at the local Woolworths was stacked flat the way it's meant to be.

By the same people that manage to dent cans taking them from the box to the shelf! The stores I've seen always stack it on the end at an angle to display it, I'd hate to see the condition of the paper when removed from the wrap.

And i've used Fuji Xerox A4 paper before and never had any jamming problem.

I know of around half a dozen people who have had problems from feeding multiple sheets to feeding no sheets to jamming and wrapping and this has been inkjet and laser.

        • I suppose it depends on how bad the staff are at the local stores. It wouldn't be the same at all stores.

And it's probably more like an issue with their printers, not that there's a problem with the quality of the paper. I used to have a printer which had an issue with picking up paper and also end up causing paper jamming constantly, it was an issue with the rollers which pick up the paper had too much paper dust on it. A quick cleaning of the paper rollers in the printer machine and it was all good from then on no more pickup problems or paper jams.

True but hard to tell how the paper has been handled whereas with officeworks you're pretty safe.

Zero problems with using reflex whereas using the Fuji Xerox paper they start having consistent problems.

I've seen the same issues at work where using cheaper paper starts to cause issues in printers (30+ mid to high volume black and colour units) whereas using Reflex there are no issues.

        • @Maverick-au:

Actually might try it now on my current HP Color Laserjet Pro M177fw printer. But i can't see any issues happening.

Paper looks fine no apparent damage at all.

Edit: i've been using this Xerox A4 copy paper through my HP Color Laserjet and there's been no paper jamming, nothing but smooth operation. I guess HP laser printers love Xerox copy paper.
