  Wow! 56kΩ resistance. Not sure I want a cable like that. Why do I need a cable with such high resistance? Surely it won't do anything.

  Resistance is futile.
  Also BTW the AliExpress app is doing some heavy duty data-mining of your personal info. check the Android permissions.
