Was looking for a new coffee machine after my Aldi machine broke, and came across this Delonghi Icona for significantly less than other retail stores (JB have other red and white machines for $249, Peter's of Kensington around $232 delivered).

Seems to get some mixed reviews on Amazon also on Product Review, but I've heard good things from people I know that own it.
Was your Aldi one expressi? How long does it last? Heavy use?
Expressi, yep. Used on weekends only. It was one of the first ones, so I think it was around 4-5 years old? Had been descaled/cleaned a couple of times.
yeh ours lasted 2 years used pretty much every day, if you dont clean/descale it def wont last very long :) the second one's been going fine so far
how much for the aldi one? pls tell me more about it.
I don't know if you're genuinely curious, so I'll pretend you are. It was the pod machine they make. You can get them new for $79, or you can chase down Marrickville council and find out where their tip is if you wanted to try to find mine. Just look for the black espressi machine that was completely ruined by the milk pods Aldi make.
Had one of these for about 6 months now, it's not a bad little machine but you do get what you pay for.
Few things to note, the milk frother is no good on this so you'll need a standalone one. Also the filter for two coffees is just enough to to get one decent one, so don't expect to get two coffees at once out of this.

It's a good machine for the price. I picked one up when they had it for $150 a year or two ago in the mid year sales, so not the cheapest it has been.
