ASTRO A40 Wired PC Gaming Headset No Mix Amp - White $99 @ Mwave (Free Shipping till 31/3/2016)

70

Just got an E-mail from Mwave about this being on sale for $99. It seems to be going for $129+ on other sites from a quick Google search. Unfortunately there's no mix Amp, But that can be purchased separately if wanted.

It appears to be the lowest price on StaticIce: http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=Astro+A40&s…

Also there is free shipping until 31/3/2016 or pickup is available.

Hopefully this helps someone out looking for a new headset.

    $99.95
    massive 95 cent saving

free shipping is good though for those who can't pick up

    • good find. Will be great for anyone that misses out on this deal. Think the gamesmen are about $10 to ship?

      • $9.95 postage to my postcode in Sydney. idk about other states.

  • Does anyone know if these would work with Xbox one? Through stereo adapter? Tossing up between these and HyperX Cloud II

    • +1

pretty sure it just has the 3.5mm jack, so it should work. I've got the hyper x Cloud II and i can just plug it straight in and it works.

      • Do you rate the cloud ii's? I keep going back to them.
Do you use them with Xbox one or PC?

        • +1

yeah I love them. really great sound, especially with explosions. I use them mainly on PC but use them on Xbox whenever I need to keep the noise down

I was going to pick up HyperX Cloud IIs for my Xbox and PC but have decided to wait for the newer HyperX Cloud Revolver which was announced at CES 2016 and expected to be released sometime in Q2 - http://toucharcade.com/2016/01/31/pax-south-2016-hyperx-reve…

    • Yeah it says it comes with a 4 pole cable so the mic should work through the controller 3.5mm jack.

  • People wear the mic on their right and not on their left? So weird! :)

  • They can sell it for $85 (not sure with or without shipping), just email them.

  • FYI, without the mixamp you'll only get stereo output as surround sound is not built in to the headset - http://gaming-headsets-review.toptenreviews.com/astro-a40-re…
