I usually go for Bonds underwear - the full brief but not trunk - ala Calvin Klein etc
These all look quite small (well except for the pouch!) and form fitting

I purchased the Seamless brief and I love it.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
And about the sizes…I measured my waist as per aussieBum's guide and ordered accordingly. In my experience, they are a bit tight at first, but they will stretch after washing and wearing them (just like new shoes).
You could buy one pair and see how the sizing goes :)
