Missing LTE Band

Hi,

I just bought Galaxy Note 5 N920C, I checked that it misses some of the LTE bands with Australian courier. I just wondering whether it will have a big influence on the signal. I used Nexus 5 before, I realized that it misses some of the LTE bands as well. However, it never affect its 4g signal and I always get full 4g signal without any problem.

I want to unbox my Note 5, but I'm concern about the LTE bands. Lots of Ozbargainers seems really pay attention on the LTE bands, which makes me more worried to unbox the phone.

FYI, I used Amaysim.

If it will affect the LTE signal, would it solve the problem if I change the network preference to 3g? I don't mind slower internet, as 3g can also preserve battery life.

Well my google tells me you miss band 28 (700)LTE (telstra and Optus) and also no band 40 (2300)for Optus users.

    3G seems ok tho.

Band 28 (700) is extremely good to have ~ band 40 (2300) is nice to have.

    imho.

Band 28 is nice to have for faster internet in building and better regional coverage.
But it's probably really over-rated for most people's actual needs. 4G coverage on the other bands is decent in cities, so much so that planetandre notes he was blisfully unaware of the missing Band 28 support on his previous device.
