Whats the difference between DXRacer and AKRacing? It appears as though in the past 12 months all Australian DXRacer retailers have switched to AKRacing. Was there a supply problem? http://www.dxracer.com.au/ has had dxracer chairs permanently "sold out" for a very long time and are now selling AKRacing.
If you check your own link one - the top "latest posts" mentions AKRacing chairs, so I would think they are the same company.
Strangely you still see a few DX chairs pop up on Massdrop, but they never ship them overseas.
AKRacing and DXRacer are 100% different brands. I had a mate confirm this with DXRacers twitter. Trying to get him to retrieve it now.
According to the DCRacer Facebook page, they don't have anything to do with http://dxracer.com.au - it's a completely different company using that site. DXRacer's AU site is http://dxracer.com/au
They still have heaps of stock from what I can see on their website. I have bought over 20 DX Racing chairs for my company and they are great.
Where are seeing stock for DXRacer chairs on that site?
I have the Rush chair. It is so comfortable for long gaming sessions.
Can't speak for these models, but I'd assume a similar quality.
Looking at maybe getting the cloth material one - all the previous PU Leather chairs have met an untimely end by flaking everywhere and falling to bits… That a tendency of all PU Leather or just the ones I happened to buy?
@Cooties, how long b4 yours started flaking? I have had mine about 18 Months and still in perfect condition.
I love the dx-racer chairs and thought they would last 10+ years because of the excellent build quality.
Probably should have clarified - this was just one of those Bathurst Racer chairs from Officeworks… same style but cheap. Just wanted to know if it was a case of you get what you pay for when it comes to PU leather

I bought one of Bathurst Racer chairs from officeworks for my daughter. And, it is fair to say, you get what you pay for. Her leather started flaking after 12 months, but she does put her feet up on the chair.
I vouch for the DX-Racer chairs. The quality is very good.
Love mine to bits. Sometimes I got full reclined past horizontal dentist chair mode for laughs. Solid AF chair.
I just wish there was somewhere retail I could try one before buying.
