Pixi 3 4.5 Vs Pixi 4.5 4G can someone clear this up?

Are these 2 the same thing? Currently I'm getting the 'vibe' that the Optus version (which I think is the 4.5 4G has the better features all round).
or are they the same?

I'm thinking of grabbing the Optus version from Coles (if it is better), unlocking and then using on Telstra. Looks like it has 4GX support?

Cheers

  • The second is the better phone, they are different.
They were on special for $20 and $29 respectively at woollies a few weeks ago.
The $29 is pretty good, the only issue my 15yro reports is occasional memory related crashes, and she flogs the mobile with lots of apps and lots of use.

  • Cheers. Has been $69 since at Woolies. I need to return a Pixi 4.0 to Woolies as the GPS doesn't work, and Here Maps won't let me download an offline Map. Was hoping they would at least match Coles price this week.

  • +1

    Both are nuggets

Yes it makes a nice cheap 4GX hotspot, unlock is about a dollar something or you can unlock yourself if you search hard enough. Touch responsiveness is horrid but I dont use it as a primary phone so it doesnt concern me. If you intend on using it as a main phone, I think you're better off with the telstra buzz. This phone is built to a price and so understandably corners were cut in getting there. I got mine when it had the $20 GP credit so effectively makes it a $10 phone if you value google play credit.
