Rebel.com Transfer up to 3 Domains (.com .biz .net .org .ca) for US $1.20 (~$1.60 AUD) Each

130

Transfer up to 3 Domains (.com, .biz, .net, .org, .ca) for US $1.20 each (Includes ICANN Fee of US $0.2). Rebel.com Domain transfer FAQ states: The transfer fee covers the remaining time left on your domain and the renewal for next year.

GoDaddy were looking to charge me US $19.99 for the renewal of my .com (which I purchased for US $0.99), which is ludicrous as the average price for domain name transfers looks to be approx US $8-9, so not always a wise move to automatically renew your domain name on expiry.

Domain name transfer FAQ can be found here: https://www.rebel.com/transfersale.aspx

As always read the T's and C's when making any moves to a new Domain registrar (looked pretty above board to me). No expiry to the deal was located.

How much does it cost to renew a domain at rebel after you have transferred it?

Looks like the normal cost to renew a .com is US$14.99, so if you take up this offer you'll want to transfer your domains out to another registrar before they're due for renewal again!

  • Does not accept Paypal or debit-credit cards, I dont trust them with my credit card.
FAQ does not say how to transfer domain out later.
    Smells dodgy.

  • Normally transfer doesn't cost anything. When you transfer, the new provider charge you a renewal that is going to be paid no matter which provider you choose.

At the moment choosing oz providers is more cost effective due to the exchange rate.
