Audiosonic 10200mAh Power Bank $17 @ Kmart

470

I saw these for $20 2 weeks ago and now they're $17. The label says 10000mAh even though the box says 10200mAh so I'd expect it to be the latter.

Obviously it's not going to be the same quality as a Xiaomi 10400mAh power bank but it's a bargain for $17 with a 12 month Australian warranty.

Staff confirmed that it's a nationwide clearance.

  • Seems like audiosonic items are always on clearance lol

    • Its because kmart constantly changes its product line up, which is a good thing.

Except when they discontinue something good.

  • can this charge at 2A?

    • Back of the box says yes

  • Why is it not as good as the Xiaomi one?

    • +5

Because it is cheap crap, that's why.

The Xiaomi has much better cells, much better electronics inside, much nicer housing. Much better overall quality.

          Errrr…. Why not?

Would you prefer me to say that this Audiosonic is the best product in it's class, and the best Power Bank bargain that has ever been posted here?

If that comment doesn't suggest caution to you, I don't know what does.

          @TheOneWhoKnocks: send him to belize

The housing is the same as the Xiaomi Gold. Just the internals are different.

  • Also which State you in?

Are you positive about that? Because as far as I can see, there's a whole lot of electrons in this deal!

        Sorry to hear that.
Me? I am solid thanks. After I bought an SSD :)

I doubt very much it will be either.

    • You won't get the whole amount of any power bank due to conversion rate, voltage and other fun stuff.

  • I picked up the 5000mAh version for $9 in my local KMart on clearance. Won't get the full amount of course but does multiple full charges of my iPhone so not complaining.

  • Need to crack it open to see what brand cells it uses.

  • Can anyone confirm this is not gonna explode in my bag?

  • Be careful for all portable rechargeable buttery pack, now most Airport and Airplane company put extreme rule for rechargeable items, if you bring them with you to catch airplane, end up might force you to throw them to the bin.

I haven't had any issues within Australia. I frequently go through Melb with a 20000mAh.

    • Never had a problem with one in my backpack.

    • Never had a problem in either Australia or the USA with this, just don't bring toothpaste on the plane with you in America… or nail clippers, those things are deadly… Or baby formula - that stuff is waaaaaaay too dangerous.

But seriously, never had an issue with bringing my Xiaomi battery pack on board a plane in America or Australia.

      • I flew a few weeks ago with my 16000mah XiaoMi, no worries.

    • I specifically declared my 10,200 Xiaomi just last Friday at Melbourne Airport. Absolutely NO problem taking it on the plane.

But they definitely prefer you take in Cabin Baggage, rather than in unsupervised general cargo / checked-in luggage. That way, if any incidents there is people around to deal with it.

    • Flying back from China, my friend got his 16,000 mAh confiscated. Apparently the max size in China is 10,000mAh.

      • Thanks for letting us know. I'll be flying there later this year so I won't take the 20Ah.

Can confirm they have about 8 left in chatswood chase

  • I cant find in kmart online

    • Most products are never on the website and clearances never are. You'll have to go down to your local and see if one is there.

  • 16 left at Kmart Logan Central (QLD).

  • 12 or so at Albury NSW
