Good Quality Yet Cheap Kitchen Knives

Looking for cheap yet good (enough) quality kitchen knives. Was thinking to grab a set from Kmart, but thought I'd be best to get some advice and ideas from fellow ozbargainers.

So any suggestions would be great!

    Hi, go to EBAY and look for deals on "Kiwi" knives….these are imported from Thailand are cheap and reasonably good quality, much superior to KMART/Woolies specials!

    For cheap kitchen knives that are "good enough", you can't go past the knives offered at an Asian supermarket or grocery shop that also has some kitchen knives in stock.

    Thanks for the advice guys! I totally forgot about Asian super markets. I have bought good knives from them in the past. I'll check them out and also the kiwi brand on ebay
