  • Is shipping to Australia free rep? Checkout, PayPal and site info all show different things.

    • Sorry but shipping is not free.

      • How much is shipping to Australia? It should be included in the OP. Also might want to check your site as Paypal checkout shows the price as US $20 only and your checkout shows the price as -$59.99.

        • Please check the store again, as shipping charges are updated on the website.

        • @TopTanzanite:

          Thanks updated it for you

        • @hamza23: Thanks.

  • 8 months since last post… Interesting

  • as soon as I add Australia as the destination it shows shipping is US$80 !!
    pretty expensive.

AU$131 shipped. Well that escalated quickly!

      • yeah, not much of a a bargain hey? not so Top at all.

    • Thanks for the interest ! But sorry at the moment we are having tie up with fedex and unable to offer freebie on this deal.

      • If you could go out and buy some cheap padded envelopes and ship them by regular mail… even that would entice some buyers. Again, this is OzBargain… we live for cost-cutting… $80 shipping ain't going to cut it!!

  • Joined up tonight purely to say this is a bargain hunting website. US$50 for shipping is not at all thrifty, and pretty awful considering your company has previously offered free shipping on all orders after a backlash. If there was free shipping on this I would consider it, but as it stands… no way, Jose.

    • Dear Thrillho ,

We are running currently one deal only which is having 80% off on the product. About the shipping we are not saving any as shipping vi fedex priority will cost only that much to us with all charges.

      • Offer an alternative and you will prob get orders and votes

Not sure you understand the website. You can't post a deal were there is an 80 percent saving which is cancelled out by exorbitant shipping rates, there is no real saving!
We end up paying the non-discounted rate anyway… Just saying, if you can make this free shipping you would have a lot more buyers, myself included!

        • Please check the revise shipping charges on the website.

        • [@TopTanzanite] Thanks for the quick update… perhaps you'll get a few buyers now, but the shipping is still more than the product!

I got excited when I saw "Free shipping on ALL orders" at the top of your site… never mind!

        • [@thrillho](thanks for the support and your warming interest. we value our customers very much so that this 1000 time rare product reach them quickly and they have that excitement of this rare gem owner.

        • @TopTanzanite: I do own Tanzanite, it's a lovely gem. However shipping (asit often does on his site) kills my desire. Thanks anyway!

  • Weird save $80 only to pay that for shipping!!! I doubt shipping would be more than $10……….

  • Thanks for the overwhelming response, please check revise shipping prices are updated on the website.

  • I need help, have always been cautious about buying non-diamond precious stones online. Anyone have any tips, or any good experiences to share?

    • There are a million forums out thee with warnings. Some of the ebay stuff is pretty bad and people are willing to fake hallmarks all the time.

You can find some reasonably reputable dealers online. I like http://www.lambertgems.com/ but even so a quick search will turn up many negative views on them. I was buying some European antiques back when the AUD was strong and the GFC was at it's peak and i bought quite a few on ebay. I only bought from those i could cross reference to a physical store. I figured it was safer this way. Maybe the same would apply for the gems.

Many precious stones (particularly sapphires) are heat treated. So you can have a raw stone then a heat treated stone then a chemically heat treated stone. I am not an expert but the raw stone of natural colour and clarity is worth more.I think much of what you buy on line is heat treated and has had colour added or improved by chemically heat treating. you could end up paying for a cheap heat treated stone thinking it is something else. But if it looks good and it makes the wearer happy maybe that is all that counts.

Hope i have helped a little.

  • Thank you so much guys for this response. Soon we will come again with some exciting deal.
